North Shore Animal League America’s Mutt-i-grees Pet Adoption Centers® is partnering with M.S. 88 to host an adoption event in Park Slope, Brooklyn on Saturday, June 1st from 11:00am until 4:00pm.
In addition to the adorable puppies and kittens available for adoption, the Mutt-i-grees Student Ambassadors and fellow club members will be on site to educate the public about the importance of animal rescue and welfare. The M.S. 88 Mutt-i-grees Club will also seek signatures on petitions lobbying for improved treatment of animals and increased penalties for animal cruelty in New York State.
M.S. 88 is one of thousands of schools across the country that incorporates the Mutt-i-grees Curriculum into their coursework. It is home to two Mutt-i-grees School Dogs who spend their weekdays in classrooms helping students learn about empathy, teamwork, self-confidence and decision-making.
