On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, the spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, Akie Abe, met with the leadership team and took a tour of the campus joined by the spouse of the Ambassador, Consul General of Japan in New York, and members of the Consulate. Mrs. Abe was interested in animal rescue, care of the animals, adoption initiatives, and our humane education/social emotional learning program.

Also here that day, was a group of Mutt-i-grees Curriculum student interns from St. Martin de Porres Marianist School who were assisting in the veterinary hospital, grooming area, and adoption center. It was a unique gathering of our international guests and local students – coming together for the rescue and adoption of homeless animals.

The visit was captured by Newsday.
