Victoria, a puppy mill dog rescued by North Shore Animal League America, has become an important part of the Mutt-i-grees Movement. She participates in Mutt-i-grees assemblies with hundreds of children at Mutt-i-grees schools and loves making classroom and library visits. She has also represented the Mutt-i-grees Curriculum at conferences in Connecticut and New York with her best friend, Lauraine Merlini, Senior Volunteer Manager at North Shore Animal League America.

Victoria always has a tail-wagging good time and she loves all the attention. The children get to pet her and they learn respect, appreciation for animals, and most importantly, they learn about the issue of puppy mills in this country. Here’s one child’s comment:

“Thank you for bringing Victoria to our classroom…I also want to thank you for all that you did to help get Victoria out of the puppy mill. I am happy to know that even though she has a bad heart she is safe with you.”
