We just got back from Louisville, KY where the Animal League, Yale 21C and the Cesar Millan Foundation, as well as Mutt-i-grees® educators from several states, participated in the 2011 National Conference. The conference was co-hosted by the KY Family Resource and Youth Services Centers and Yale 21C and included Guy Doud, Jim Hinson and Patrick Henry Hughes as keynote speakers, and presentations from the KY Commissioner of Education and the Deputy Secretary for the KY Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

Cesar Millan, the foremost dog rehabilitation expert in the world, is also one of the biggest champions of animal welfare, working tirelessly to further the cause of rescue and adoption of shelter pets, otherwise known as Mutt-i-grees®. North Shore Animal League America was proud to honor Millan’s contributions by bestowing him with the inaugural “Cesar Millan Award for Excellence in Mutt-i-grees Education” at the DogCatemy Rescue Awards Dinner in December.
