Operation Paws for Homes Takes Story Time on the Road

Elizabeth Freese is a volunteer with Operation Paws for Homes (OPH), an all-breed rescue groups in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, which partners with local libraries throughout the area to hold Mutt-i-grees® Story Times.

Elizabeth reports that events took place last October at the James M. Duncan Library in Alexandria, Va., and focused on how safely to approach a dog, along with other general canine safety tips. Two pups from OPH served as friendly participants.

Other events took place in February — with a Valentine’s Day puppy love theme — and March. The March event was held at the North Carroll Library in Hampstead, Md., and was the first Mutt-i-grees presentation at that site. The day was so successful OPH plans to return this fall.

“Thanks for giving us the tools to share how wonderful Mutt-i-gees really are!” says Elizabeth, noting that OPH also has a couple of events coming up this summer and will keep us posted.
